Midnight in your eyes
Fish, Jul 26, 2007

Feeling the cold air, both you and I
You are so graceful my midnight butterfly
We stand here on the darkest hour of the night
Total darkness, no moon and no light
No stars, they all have fallen to the ground
And now they prance and dance around
Both of us, you and me
No illumination, but I can still see
Your beautiful radiant being
A glimpse of heaven I must be seeing
I see fate illuminate your eyes
When the twilight from the day dies
Were clouded and shrouded and darkness again
Weve turned away from the light but not in sin
Im guided to your heart by the resplendence of your grace,
The resplendence of your beautiful face
These words are for you, these poetic verses
Theyve purged me from all of my curses
I only speak to you in this soft tone
The light in your eyes is all Ive ever known
Your love caresses me close to the flame
You and I are both one in the same
Dont ever let me get lost in poetic nothingness
Our hearts united, I would hope for nothing less
You give me life you awaken me
All of this time it has taken me
To finally find you standing there
In the middle if the dark air
You are so beautiful, my midnight flower
Together, you and me, on this darkest hour
