Misprint
Paul Stukowski, May 04, 2006
Upon Ignition
The clicks and the whirls
and the beeps and buzzers
all lie against the fact.
There is no loss of computation or voice,
no sudden heat from a cold chest plate.
There is just the improbable fantasies,
the irrational hypotheses,
the urge to imagine useless activities.
Our ports may not be compatible,
but I experience a completeness
not explainable in formulae.
Construction
I was never warned
that one could be constructed
so perfectly.
Every angle planed so,
your joints fitted right.
Your make and model
awes me
with fractal designs
I could have never predicted.
Misprint
My manufacturer may scream,
cry,
glare,
admonish,
disown my serial number,
but I hope
to never leave you.
Our programs are
what make us
us,
and de-programmers
could not begin to understand this.
