SQUATTING & THE HUMAN RIGHT TO SHELTER
Sapphire, roaddawgz.org, Jul 21, 2003
Shelter (self-autonomous) is the right of EVERY LIVING HUMAN BEING. I believe this makes a good case for squatters rights in general, not to mention the variance of life experiences, the gestalt exercise of keeping personal space sacred, as well as allowing for the self-expression and dignity of others as we go about our life, living, and rebirth in these times of limitless possibility.

A "HOUSING ACTION" DURING THE APRIL 2000 IMF CONFERENCE
'Dorothy' (not her real name), roaddawgz.org, Feb 24, 2003
In Washington D.C. there are tons of abandoned buildings. Families are being evicted from their homes, neighborhoods are becoming gentrified, and most of these families don't have enough money for another house and are forced to live on the streets. D.C. has a large homeless population.

"HEY, YOU!"
WHAT WE CALL OURSELVES, AND WHY WE SHOULDN'T
Brett Snyder, roaddawgz.org, Feb 24, 2003
Transients, street kids, gutter punks, vagabonds, crusties and hippies -- all of these are labels put on homeless youth by the world and by themselves. People today (and most likely in the past) tend to want to file other people into little categories, forgetting that everyone is an individual, unique person, not that willing to take the time to see some old beggar as anything more than a homebum.
